Steve Perdicaris has many years experience as a professional musician, music educator, and administrator. He currently serves as Lecturer In Music, Trombone at California State University-Sacramento. For 30 years, he served as a faculty and staff member at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA and for 23 years, he mentored young musicians as Director of Pacific Music Camp, one of California's oldest summer music programs.
Steve performs as a trombonist with the Sacramento Philharmonic and spent several years recording and performing with Sir Simon Rattle and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (England). While in England, he became an Associate with Honors in Trombone Performance at the Royal College of Music. He also participated in summer music festivals at the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara) and Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute.
Steve received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from the University of San Francisco.
In 2021, he received the Jefferson Award for his work in community service.
