Steve Perdicaris brings a distinguished career spanning professional performance, music education, and arts leadership. He currently serves as Lecturer in Music (Trombone) at California State University, Sacramento. Prior to this appointment, he dedicated 30 years to the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, California, where he served in both faculty and administrative roles. For 23 years, he also guided and inspired generations of young musicians as Director of Pacific Music Camp, one of California’s longest-running and most respected summer music programs.

As a performer, Steve is a member of the Sacramento Philharmonic and has enjoyed a diverse career on both national and international stages. He has recorded and performed with Sir Simon Rattle and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in England. During his time in the United Kingdom, he earned the prestigious Associate of the Royal College of Music (ARCM) with Honors in Trombone Performance. His professional development also includes participation in renowned training programs such as the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, combining artistic excellence with a strong foundation in organizational leadership.

A dedicated advocate for music education and community engagement, Steve was honored with the Jefferson Award in 2021 in recognition of his outstanding community service and commitment to making a positive impact through the arts.
