Steve Perdicaris has 30+ years experience as a professional musician, educator, and administrator. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Practice, Director of Operations and Summer Music Camps at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA. He has worked with young musicians for the last 20 years as Director of Pacific Music Camp, one of California's oldest summer music programs.
Steve performs as a trombonist with the Sacramento Philharmonic and spent several years recording and performing with Sir Simon Rattle and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (England). While in England, he also became an Associate with Honors in Trombone Performance at the Royal College of Music.
Steve received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from the University of San Francisco. He also participated in summer music festivals at the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara) and Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute.
In 2017, he was appointed by the California Arts Council to sit on a 5-person review panel for "Artists In Schools" grant applicants.
