Steve Perdicaris brings extensive experience as a professional musician, music educator, and arts administrator. He currently serves as Lecturer in Music (Trombone) at California State University, Sacramento. For 30 years, he was a faculty and staff member at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, California, and for 23 years he mentored young musicians as Director of Pacific Music Camp, one of California’s oldest summer music programs.
As a performer, Steve is a trombonist with the Sacramento Philharmonic. He has also recorded and performed with Sir Simon Rattle and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in England. During his time in the UK, he earned an Associate of the Royal College of Music (ARCM) with Honors in Trombone Performance. He has further participated in prestigious summer programs including the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
In 2021, he received the Jefferson Award in recognition of his community service.
