Board of Directors

Chris Aguilar attended St. Mary's College and Oxford University. He started his own legal and business consulting practice to provide outside general counsel services to his clients.  In the 2000s Mr. Aguilar was the CEO of a small institutional broker-dealer and the general counsel for a mid-sized San Francisco-based public broker-dealer.  Before his time in the financial services arena, he was a trial lawyer representing clients in civil matters for a decade.  Mr. Aguilar also worked for the San Francisco City Attorney, the Alameda County District Attorney, and taught at the University of California and Hastings College of the Law, his alma mater. He has two children, Amalia, 22, and Zachary, 10 and is an avid Giants, Raiders, Sharks and Stanford basketball fan.  Mr. Aguilar enjoys live music, motorcycles and tinkering with his home computer network.

Augustin de Kerversau is the Chief Operating Officer for BMO Commercial Bank.  He previously was Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial and Corporate Banking at BNP Paribas Bank of the West. In that position, he oversaw 350+ bankers and underwriters serving commercial clients across the U.S. He moved to California in 2012 after having held several international positions at BNP Paribas in London, New York and Singapore. Previously, he studied in Paris, France and Oxford, UK and graduated from ESCP Europe in 2006. In 2016 he obtained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School.

Mr. de Kerversau was born and raised in France and was an avid violinist as a young child and teenager. He graduated in violin, chamber music, and musical theory from the Music School of Levallois-Perret, France in 2000. This experience shaped the rest of his life and, although he does not practice anymore, Mr. de Kerversau has retained a special interest for music and its impact on children’s lives.

David Schane

David Schane is a twenty year veteran of the international financial services industry with experience across asset management, wealth management and the securities markets.  He started his career on the global trading floor of Credit Suisse in Zurich as an institutional sales executive before moving to Credit Suisse Asset Management and Credit Suisse Private Banking in London.  Subsequently, he worked for a subsidiary of JP Morgan where he served large US insurance companies before helping develop an ultra-high net worth practice for Wells Fargo in San Francisco, where he served as senior portfolio manager and investment counselor.  More recently, Mr. Schane has worked in the alternative investment management sector representing a number of boutique private equity and venture capital managers build their LP relationships with major pension funds, family offices, endowments, insurers, banks, fund-of funds and strategic corporate investors. 
 Mr. Schane is a bi-national citizen of the USA and Switzerland and an accomplished concert pianist with major performance appearances in both the USA and Europe.  He earned undergraduate degrees from Northwestern University in both music and political science as well as graduate degrees in both music and political science from the Lausanne Conservatory of Music and the Graduate Institute of International Studies at the University of Geneva.
