Elbert Tsai performs with the San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Symphony orchestras, having previously won positions with both ensembles. Each summer he teaches at Center Stage Strings, and is currently the concertmaster and solo violinist of the Bear Valley Festival orchestra. Previously he taught at the Luzerne Music Center and performed at the music festivals in Aspen, Sun Valley, and the Tanglewood Music Center. Elbert graduated with a performance diploma from the University of Southern California where he studied with Robert Lipsett, and also holds degrees in Computer Science and Violin Performance from Oberlin as well as a minor in Piano Performance.
